ABOUT US

Suniti Educational Trust ( B. Ed. & D. El. Ed. College ) is the first self-financed composite teacher training college in Kalyani. The Institution is recognized by NCTE. B. Ed course was affliated to the University of Kalyani from session 2012-2015. From 2016, the B. Ed, course is affliated to WBUTTEPA, West Bengal. In 2016, Suniti Educational Trust has taken new initiative to empower their educational mission and vision by establishing D.E1. Ed. College as composite teacher training Institution. D. El. Ed. programme is affliated to WBBPE. From the very beginning, this Institution has been on the road to steady progress thus creating to the need to produce effcient teachers for the society. The Institution wish to provide wholesome and well rounded education that broadens the mind, stimulates critical thinking, develops independence and initiative and promotes scientifc enquiry which enables the students-teachers to reflect on issues of national and international importance.

CAMPUS OVERVIEW

Suniti Education Trust ( B.Ed. & D.EL.Ed. college) is the first self finance composite teacher training institution in Kalyani. This institution is recognised by NCTE. B.Ed. course is affliated to WBUTTEPA and D.E.I.Ed. course is affliated to WBBPE with the intake capacity of 100 ( for B.Ed.) and 50 (For D.E.I.Ed.) in each academic session. It is situated beside Barrrackpore- Kalyani Express way at the southern end of Kalyani town and surrounded by lustrous greenery. The college building is double storied building with modern architectural view and full of amenities of modern technique and learning and capable of accommodating further expansion of teachers training course in future. The institution wish to provide wholesome and well rounded education that broaden the mind, stimulates critical thinking, develops independence and initiative and promote scientifc enquiry which enables the students- teachers to reflect on issues of national and international importance.

LIBRARY

The library express the dignity of academy. The college provides a modern , scientifically arranged, fully automated open access composite (B.ED and D.E.I.ED) library with spacious and noise free comfortable reading room with large number of window and adequate ventilation, there at least 250nos of students and 25nos of faculties can seat at a time . The college library has already 9278 nos of text books, reference books, dictionary etc. and approx. 42nos of different educational journal. The library is equipped and maintained with an automated library software (KOHA) with high speed internet connectivity round the clock. The college is gradually enriching its collection at text books, reference books, journal, magazine etc. eye in connection with the requirement of the users.

LIBRARY RULES

Library is' The Temple of Learning'. Hence absolute silence must
be maintained in and around the Library. Loud consultation,
animated conversation etc. are strictly prohibited.
The Library remains open between 10:30 am to 4:30 pm from
Monday to Friday. In case of any deviation from this schedule
there will be prior notifcation by the appropriate authorities.
While entering the Library, students should show their
Library identity card and produce the same while borrowing
book(s).
The students are advised to keep their Library identity cards
safely and not to lend their Library Identity Card to any other
student and also not to be allowed to make photocopies of the
original Library Identity Card. After borrowing a book, the
student is advised to check the book before leaving the counter.
Drinking water bottles, food & any other forms of drinks are
not allowed inside the Library room.
The Library is a shared environment; please treat staff
members and fellow users with consideration and respect..

LABORATORY

Hall

Multipurpose Hall
is a large hall room as with sitting capacity of more than 250 students at a time and equipped with high end modern projector and public address system and regularly hosting different functions of the college.

Seminar Hall
is well equipped and capable enough for organizing National, International and State Level seminar.

CANTEEN

College canteen is decorated and ventilated with a number of glass windows & looks like a large beautiful cottage and is situated within the campus with a total sitting capacity of approx 100 students at a time. Foods are hygienic and arranged at a cheaper cost.

PARKING

Students who come to college by a two or a four wheeler must park their vehicles only in the specifed zone parking. Students are not allowed to stand in parking places and chat during class hours, before and thereafter also.

TRANSPORT

College is situated within an Educational Hub and is easily approachable from both Railway station i.e., Kalyani and Kanchra Para and also through bus routes from Kalyani, Kanchrapara and Buddhapark etc. and will reach the campus within a few minutes..

• Economic use of water and electricity in the Institute to preserve the college as

• To carry the identity card and produce it on demand,
• Not to sit on Teacher tables, oors, stairs, corridor wall & fences & not to write
on benches, board, wall, doors, bathroom, notices etc.
• To throw the garbage only in the dustbins,
• To keep our campus neat and clean for all of us to stay.
