BIRTH OF SUNITI EDUCATIONAL TRUST B. ED. COLLEGE

SUNITI EDUCATIONAL TRUST was formed with the conceptual vision & mission of spreading advancement, development & rendering service in the field of education & medical service to start with at & from Kalyani, an well known Clean City in West Bengal and then to spread in other places.
As, Dr. P. K. Das & Dr. Dilip Kumar Biswas already had been rendering medical services for more than 25 ( twenty five ) years, both of them along with Founder Trustee ( Smt. Chitra Das ) & other Trustees, decided to take the initiative in development in Educational field & thus the concept of establishing, a Teachers Training Institution named as Suniti Educational Trust B. Ed. College was un-animously taken by all of them ( TRUSTEE BOARD ) & college started from academic session 2012-2013.

Suniti Educational Trust ( B. Ed. & D. El. Ed. College ) is the first self-financed composite teacher training college in Kalyani. The Institution is recognized by NCTE. B. Ed course was affliated to the University of Kalyani from session 2012-2015. From 2016, the B. Ed, course is affliated to WBUTTEPA, West Bengal. In 2016, Suniti Educational Trust has taken new initiative to empower their educational mission and vision by establishing D.E1. Ed. College as composite teacher training Institution. D. El. Ed. programme is affliated to WBBPE. From the very beginning, this Institution has been on the road to steady progress thus creating to the need to produce effcient teachers for the society. The Institution wish to provide wholesome and well rounded education that broadens the mind, stimulates critical thinking, develops independence and initiative and promotes scientifc enquiry which enables the students-teachers to reflect on issues of national and international importance.

CAMPUS OVERVIEW

Suniti Education Trust ( B.Ed & D.E.I.Ed college) is the first self finance composite teacher training institution in Kalyani. This institution is recognised by NCTE. B.Ed course is affliated to WBUTTEPA and D.E.I.Ed course is affliated to WBBPE with the intake capacity of 100 ( for B.Ed) and 50 (For D.E.I.Ed) in each academic session. It is situated beside Barrrackpore- Kalyani Express way at the southern end of Kalyani town and surrounded by lustrous greenery. The college building is double storied building with modern architectural view and full of amenities of modern technique and learning and capable of accommodating further expansion of teachers training course in future. The institution wish to provide wholesome and well rounded education that broaden the mind, stimulates critical thinking, develops independence and initiative and promote scientifc enquiry which enables the students- teachers to reflect on issues of national and international importance.

SUNITI EDUCATIONAL TRUST’ a PUBLIC TRUST is a Brain child of Late Dr. P.K. Das, B.Sc., MBBS., DGO, who was an eminent and only physician at Kalyani at one time and served the people ( specially poorer & backward classes ) of Kalyani, Nadia as well as surrounding Districts for more than 50 years.
He had keen interest in the field of spreading education among the rural population and as such he established initially a Secondary School in the year 1958 in a nearest village and now that school has developed into a Higher Secondary School with very good name & fame.
His vision and mission was to establish a Teacher Education Institute for the improvement in teaching quality with a proper& standard training programme to the budding teacher-students as well as the benefit of educational institutes and school students.
